TETHYS-302: Introduction to JavaScript

About This Course

Learning JavaScript programming is just as important as learning Python programming when it comes to Tethys app development. Python is used to perform your more complex scientific processing tasks and any programming that is required on the server or “backend” of your applications. JavaScript is used to make the application more interactive in the web browser or “frontend” of the Tethys application. JavaScript code is used to create interactive maps, plots and other visualizations. It can also be used to retrieve new data without requiring the user to refresh the page.
